TGIF

I have not been so happy for a Friday in a while! Work yesterday was a zoo! I was the only aide and that sucks a lot. I had a helper from 10-2 which helped so much, but after that it was stressful! I never did get a lunch or break, 12 hours running like crazy will wear you out! The night before I was up a lot with Jared who had growing pains, that is never fun and it hurts them so bad! So today is a day to do laundry, since I work tomorrow, but thankfully its only an 8 hour shift! Patrick did so amazing at his game on Tuesday! He got a 3 pointer and a bunch of 2 pointers! He was amazing! They finally won! Thursday wasn't so lucky lol I had to work so Don went to Liberty to watch, he only has 3 more games I think then its track season! Parker qualified for State FBLA, he is so awesome! He won in 2 categories! State is in Seattle this year so he gets to do the underground tour, lucky kid! Josh was home sick on Monday, headache, head cold, of course Jared said he was sick because Josh coughed on him 7 times haha! Nice try Bear! The snow is finally melted and the wind has finally stopped, the sun is out and its warming up to the low 40's almost Spring, I can handle it! The house is clean so now I just have to focus on laundry! I can handle that also!

My new kitchen ugh!

I was not suppose to have a new kitchen, but I got home from town on Friday at 11am and I heard this awful noise, so I walked into the kitchen and it was pouring down rain :( The bathroom above the kitchen, well the pipes burst! Flooded my kitchen and ruined my ceiling and floor and counters. So I called Don freaking out so after he calmed me down I ran out and turned off our pump and the water finally after 20 minutes stopped coming down. Don got home and we started ripping the ceiling out, after we took everything out of the kitchen into half of our living room and dining room. I washed the dishes in the bathroom sink. My sweet friend brought over dinner Friday and Saturday night. We went and picked out the floor and the paint for the ceiling. So here are some pics of the remodel!

The joys of being a Mom!

Here is Jareds art work. He is so wonderful lol! My window sill is in the bathroom, and we are going to re-do the bathroom anyway, but he was so proud of it. When I asked him if he did it his response was "You finally noticed" so happy about it lol!! So I asked him nicely to please start using paper to write me love notes :)

We had a fantastic Superbowl! We had 21 people here! Good thing my house is big! SOO much food and SOO much yelling! What an awesome game!! Hard to believe they pulled it off! We are so going to a game this year! I have been to one Hawks game! My ex surprised me and took me when they were playing the Bengals, great game!!

It is so stinkin cold here! -15 wind chill! I'm not a huge fan because our snow cannot melt if its that cold! I have an interview Friday! Same Hospital just a different department! I still have my job because I only work 24 hours a week, which is 2 days since I work 12 hour shifts. So I'm interviewing for lab assistant! So I will be doing blood draws and running the tests and running the machines! I'm so excited! I never thought I could do it until I did dialysis, now I know I can! I wont like taking blood from babies or kids but I cant have everything! I have a good chance of getting it :) Fingers crossed!

Today is a lazy day! I showered the gentlemen that I shower twice a week and came home and put my jammies on, did the dishes and started laundry, now I'm going to watch Dr. Phil and relax!!! Happy Tuesday!

SNOW!

We had a snow day yesterday, sadly I had to work a 12 hour shift so I got no pictures of the boys playing in it, but our snow wont melt until the end of March :( I love how snow makes ugly things look beautiful!!

Kids!

I cannot believe its already the end of January 2014! We have been so busy I don't even remember the month! Basketball started so Sunday, Monday, Thursdays, Saturdays we are busy! That is on top of me working and youth group, school board and etc, etc.Joshuas last game is this Saturday, although I love watching him I will be happy to start sleeping in til at least 7 on Saturdays! I am excited for next month, I only work 2 days a week, 24 hours and I love it! I know I will be called in a lot from people who are sick, but I can say no if I want! I did apply for another job at the Hospital, a lab assistant. I will be doing blood draws and running all the labs, I know I can do it, with dialysis I used a 10 gauge needle and these needles are super small lol! I sure wish our snow would melt, but I guess it would help if it would get above 29 degrees. We are suppose to get hit hard tonight and tomorrow with snow ugh! Everyone knows my Bear Bear comes in almost every night and sleeps with us, usually about 1am. Sometimes it bothers Don cause he kicks Don lol but it doesn't bug me at ALL! And let me tell you why. He is 7 and I know he isn't going to go to college still needing to sleep with me and their youth goes way to fast so I'm going to relish it as long as I possibly can. I take cuddles, kisses and hugs all the time and I pray it never stops! Parker and Patrick still run up to me in the hallways and hug me and say I love you Mom. I love it when that happens, of course all their friends run up and give me a hug, I love our school so much and the kiddos! Since the 2nd week of January we have been eating healthy. The boys have really adapted and not complained at all! Don is down 7 pounds and I'm down 5, slow and steady wins the race!

Almost the new year!

I Cant believe its been 3 months since I've blogged! I finally received my NAC license and a nice raise to go along with that! We are getting cold now, BOO! Today was 8 when I went to work and I really hate.Our weather lately has sucked! Negative temps for a week or so, makes me wish it was spring already! I have been baking all this week, well ok yesterday and today lol. My big cookie/ornament party is this Saturday so I'm trying new recipes (thanks pinterest) out on the boys, they are not minding lol We had snow a little bit one day but it didn't last long, suppose to get it next week, wed, thur and fri of course I work all 3 days. The boys are fabulous, eager for Christmas break. We went up to Forks for Thanksgiving, didn't want to leave! We love my family up there, such amazing people. We baked and cooked and ate all week, ugh we were so full lol! The boys want to move up there and I wouldn't mind it either, but alas, no processing plants up there. We had a 2nd thanksgiving at my dad and joyces Friday and that was nice, came home Saturday and my mom had made a huge dinner, but we were so full we took it to go :) and it was yummy! I still cannot upload pictures on this stupid thing! Well that's all for now!! Merry Christmas!
